Tell us a little bit about you. Where are you from?
Well pals and gals call me Baz and I’m currently a freelance artist operating from North America.
How long have you been designing?
I’ll say about a year, more or so … Before that I used to be a game artist in the gaming industry.
Where did you learn to draw?
Self taught I would say. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember.
What inspires you?
Everything, really !!
What was your first big break that started your career?
A little series of comic strips that I’ve put online a year ago which brought me, to my surprise, lots of visibility …
What is your favorite thing to draw and put on t-shirts?
I really like 8-Bit inspired designs. Also, most of my best selling tees have been done pixelart-style.
When you aren’t designing T-Shirts, what are you up to?
Various indie gaming projects on the side which I’m trying to develop with a few friends from the industry.
Do you design full time or do you have a day job?
Currently full-time with other lil freelance jobs on the side.
Can you tell us how you bring your ideas to reality? Do you sketch things out first or go right to the computer?
Well I’ll mostly sketch my ideas right on the computer; it’s faster for me that way.
Do you have any wisdom you’ve learned along the way you’d like to share with other aspiring artists?
Keep a log of all the ideas that pops in your head so if you don’t have time to work on one right away you can always come back to it later on …
If you could meet any person alive or dead who would it be and why?
I’d really love to shake hand with H.P. Lovecraft and tell him how much of an influential author he’s become.
