Right now I am a stay-at-home dad, seeking full-time employment. I am graduating January 25th with my bachelor's in communications media, graphic design concentration. I try to keep my t-shirt designer and "graphic" designer identities separate, since some of my t-shirt designs might be considered inappropriate, one way or another. You can see what I mean if you browse through some of my designs here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/dansmash/portfolio
I got a lot of support through social media, friends and family, when I got my last print. So I want to make sure I thank everyone who bought a shirt. I know a few bought one even though they had never seen Donnie Darko, and didn't get the reference. But anyone and everyone who buys a shirt from me needs to know that I truly appreciate the support. I have yet to spot a total stranger wearing one of my shirts, but I am guessing that's when a graphic artist truly feels like he/she has "made it." I look forward to that day.
I want to call attention to a couple of social causes while I have folks reading:
When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.
For people with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma or other diseases, a cure exists. Be The Match® connects patients with their donor match for a life-saving marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant.
